Why i’m voting for option “J” in the aqours duo/trio vol. 2

Duet Choice 1: YouRiko

- You wasn’t too fond of Riko in S1 until she learned to accept the circumstance and speak out about how she felt to Chika
- Riko and You have grown a strong bond in S2 and are close, hence the “I love you~!” to Riko in season 2
- their dynamic is adorable, brotp and ship wise

Riko’s cool voice is able to melt in with You’s pure and energetic voice, have you heard their duet part in Marine Border Parasol?
Rikako Aida and Saito Shuka have also *drastically* improved vocally since 2015, fitting into the voice now and their vocals are breathtaking!

- Now for their song, I feel like it wouldn’t be Jimo Ai but also wouldn’t be like Hurricane Blossom’s trio either, it could either be
- a slower song with a prominent piano with some genki and theatrical quirks for you
- akin to Marine Border Parasol

- but to be specific with the winter theme, something about the activities in the winter! it would be adorable!
(just a stretch, maybe something similar to bringing the other on a ‘date’ or reminiscing on a ‘date’ they had or something)

for the seiyuu’s: i’m not too sure on where their relationship stands, closeness factor, but i feel like having a duo would bring them even closer than before.
** i do know all of aqours says they’re super close but some bonds could be tighter than others **

Duet Choice 2: Kanamari

- their character chemistry is absolutely well written, childhood friends, the separation, the grudge that ends with the two girls being closer than ever (references not just to the anime but SIFAS)
Kanan really cares about Mari and that is so important cause it is reciprocated.

now for voices, sorry to break it to the fans but it won’t exactly be a NozoEli duet because Mari’s attribute is smile vs Eli’s being cool, but I feel like Kanan’s is akin to Nozomi’s which is not a bad thing at all. Kanan’s voice is gorgeous and has improved a lot.

I don’t have too much to say about their vocals complimenting each other as i’ve only really heard either solo mixes or very minimal duets, but this is what i have and i’ll be damned if no one else thinks they sound gorgeous

- i feel like they would either get another jazzy 3rd year song
- other choices are a ballroom / masquerade type of song where one of them is the masked girl and the other is trying to find out who it is cause they have feelings for them or
- akin to new winding road

seiyuu’s stance on this would be amazing, suwa nanaka and suzuki aina hit it off so well and are so close and friendly that people seem to ship them, they’ve even went on ‘dates’ together, so this would be such a win for the two friends. they’d absolutely love and rock the duet!

3rd Duet Choice: RubyMaru!

-Ruby and Hanamaru are best friends
- Ruby was the final push to get Hanamaru to join aqours
- These two are so grateful for each other that it’s ridiculous and adorable
- These two bring out the best of each other!!
- overwhelming support!! from both ends!!

Ruby’s ‘squeaky’ voice isn’t a problem with Hanamaru, who seems to be as versatile as a Smile attributes singer could get, ranging from her Azalea vocals to almost Guilty Kiss sounding ones. I feel like with the right song, their vocals could mesh together and be astounding

for their song, i feel like it would be of a Jimo Ai feel, the lighthearted and cheery but cutesy song (Red Gem Wink and Oyasuminasan! mixed)
i feel like their song would be about playing in the snow, talking about making a snowman and looking at all the pretty snowflakes!

i also don’t really know the stance on the seiyuu’s, but they definitely appear close! each first year’s seiyuu’s does!
unfortunately i think that Takatsuki Kanako and Kobayashi Aika are a tad closer, but this also leaves room for Furihata Ai and Kanako to bond more!

Trio of Choice: GuuRinPa- i mean, ChikaYohaDia!

their character’s chemistry is strong on Chika’s side, as she got Yoshiko into Aqours and had a little feud with Dia over starting Aqours, but it obviously happened :)
Dia and Yoshiko had a duet in Omoi Yo and had some small interactions which does lead to some good chemistry!

With Chika’s amazing vocals combined with Dia’s low and elegant sound, Yoshiko would be able to compromise and either pull out her Yohane voice or go completely natural, i feel they could pull off a nice trio this way! It’s also similar to Guilty Kiss (2 Cool, 1 Smile)

i honestly have no idea to what this trio could be like, since they’re such a mesh of styles but my gut is saying 90’s edm to compromise with Dia’s traditional style!!
theme wise, it’s unpredictable!

i feel like we should give this one to the seiyuu’s, the GuuRinPa trio that really worked hard together and are close, not to mention Komiya Arisa alluded to wanting J to win for GuuRinPa, we should make it a reality for her and everyone else!

i’m not only choosing J for those reasons listed, but because this is one of the only (maybe the only) selection that excludes repeats and gives the girls another chance, to either be given a new duo partner, try out a trio, or try out a duet. :)
