It& #39;s nothing personal. Some people aren& #39;t being nice in the way they highlight this but it doesn& #39;t change the fact that it was "mispronounced", in a video about "mispronunciation" (if you regard American and British English as the only correct varieties of English in the world) https://twitter.com/PhoebeShafinaz/status/1253360168009490432">https://twitter.com/PhoebeSha...
There are many diff varieties of Englishes around the world, and nothing "wrong" about any of them! I recommend looking up "World Englishes". Malaysian English is a famous example; I wrote about it many times in my undergraduate. Also look at BBC& #39;s Pidgin English website.
That American and British Englishes are the only "correct" varieties should be questioned. They are regarded as international standards, which means they are understood globally. So it& #39;s important to learn them, but without regarding Manglish as "wrong". Just "more localised".
I applaud the OP& #39;s efforts in teaching people how to pronounce words in ways that they might prefer. However, she needs to accept constructive criticism and we, as a population, should understand that "US/UK" ≠ "correct". It just means "international standard".
