I woke up today and remembered a 5-year-old boy I saw as a medical student many years ago, "ordinary" malaria that we all know almost took that boy's life

He was looking almost white because his blood level was very low, unconscious and had a swollen belly
The herbal doctor in his village had used a razor blade and cut lines all over the stomach, he told them the bad blood needed to go out from those holes in the skin.

He had convulsions, a severe kind of malaria. I was shocked that Malaria we underrate could do that to a person
His mother was frustrated, from time to time, I would catch her crying outside sitting by herself.

Babies, Children, and older people suffer the most from Malaria. Where do we start from? Why haven't we eradicated it yet

Who is to blame? Zero Malaria starts with You and me
Companies like @MorteinNG and their #MorteinAgainstMalaria campaigns are doing thier part to make sure that Nigeria is Malaria free

But we still have a lot of work to do. You and I have to play our parts in making sure this happens
I have seen pregnant women have miscarriages, children with low birth weights, have stillbirths and even make a child stop growing in the womb because malaria affects the blood flow to the babies in the womb

You may not understand it because to you, "na just fever"
The culprit of course of all this is the female anopheles mosquito that carries the parasite that causes malaria, when an infected mosquito bites you, the parasite is injected into your bloodstream and some are stored in your liver and break out from time to time
If you can prevent being bitten by mosquitoes, you have scored almost an A in preventing mosquitoes.

We grew up "flitting" our homes and someone said the mosquitoes now have odeshii against insecticides. Well @MorteinNG have a new formula that can help kill them better
How can you prevent Malaria on your own

We are not in the rainy season yet, so this is an excellent time to repair your windows and plug the holes in them.

Clear bushes around your house

Use insecticide-treated nets, a lot of people complain that it gets hot. Use AC if you can
