I bought floating shelves a while ago & it came w/ no instructions

Maybe bc it& #39;s self explanatory.
Didn& #39;t think too much of it bc i just had to mount shelves in my wall. Like how hard can that be, so I didn& #39;t trip. Threw out the box and everything. I went about my day.
So when I finally decided to put up the shelves. I found out it was mad complicated. It was set up for failure tbh. For example, there was a wood piece inside the shelf & I couldn& #39;t get it out cuz there were nails surrounding it. I YouTubed it & gave up.
My mom sees the shelves just chillen at my room, tells me I need a stud detector. I& #39;m like oh this is not as "simple" as I thought it would be. She& #39;s like I& #39;ll ask your dad& #39;s cousin to install it cause he has the tools & I ain& #39;t gunna let u ruin my walls.
So I& #39;m here waiting for the day to come
Then all of sudden covid happens.
Obviously we can& #39;t have ppl over & I& #39;m like great I& #39;ll just have to wait wait

Lightbulb moment) & have my brother do it since he& #39;s handy. (Truly is. If he can fix it, he will)
I was hella excited that i was gunna have it installed sooner than i expected
So we get the stud detector. I tell my brother about my issue & how confusing it is.

I& #39;m telling him & he then says yeah u probably got a used one. So we both do our research. Most videos used a bracket. I had no brackets whatsoever. Then, he got me thinking like I probably did get a used one. Some1 prob returned it bc they drilled the wrong holes or sum.
Im here thinking like damn it& #39;s prob way passed the returning date & esp w/ this situation that is going on. It& #39;s gunna be a whole long process. Plus, I had to pay for shipping. Freaking out bc money down the drain& if I would of known earlier. I would of been returned it.
So we both tryna figure it out. He finally comes up with a solution but still with a slight problem. We didn& #39;t have the bracket, so it wasn& #39;t gunna be sturdy enough.

Inconclusion, bless my brother& #39;s soul for helping me out. The whole point of this thread was to throughly explain my shelve story lols and to demonstrate the appreciation that I have for my brother.
