Some really important questions here for the police, & I would suggest also the public, during #COVID19 #lockdown. These considerations have been very pertinent to recent situations on my #CAMHS out of hours work & transition planning for YP leaving care

Contextualising through curiosity & questioning, rather than being blinded by the threat of COVID so important.

At home, I witness comments on local support groups that seem primed to reject & blame when YP are seen outside, with many assumptions & little attempt to understand..
Thankfully within the multi-agency meetings, it has been very much about contextualising, collaborating & sharing... the challenge comes in that reaching out with this & supporting that to ripple out wider.

Making those messages simple seems key.

This @macukcharity report is 👌
Going to have to revisit this more fully...but for now, I’ll do as I suggest & share some of this with the locals... perhaps there’s a bigger picture than just ‘dangerous rule breakers’ when it comes to seeing others wandering around during these times
