Going to start discussing dreams here. I think many take dreams for granted as something that just "is", but when you think about it they're pretty wild and magical. We'll adopt a more conversational tone for these posts instead of the usual manic schizo energy, to delineate.

I don't have particularly strong opinions about the mechanisms underlying dreams, and indeed I'd try to eliminate those opinions from my ego if I did hold them. Opinions, thoughts, and words are too concrete a way to think about the immaterial. Prefer to stay limber, intuitive

In the same vein, we don't have a concrete perspective on why I dream, the meaning of dreams, etc. Trying to pin these things down with reason is a great way to understand them less! (and further a fast track to start posting on www dot reddit dot com).

Instead, I'll collect a big pile of anecdotes from our past experiences, and just present those anecdotes as neutrally as possible, so as to maximize aesthetic engagement and minimize psychoanalytic (or pseudopsychoanalytic) bullshit.

These won't necessarily be limited to replies to this thread, but we can see how things go, together.
