Starting a thread of every video game I’ve played during quarantine (if you’re curious what I’ve watched, follow @obhuey):

1. Animal Crossing: this game’s great to check in on daily. Recommend if you’re looking for something relaxing during these strange times

2. NBA 2K20: just really needed some sports in my life. My rookie is a SG averaging over 30 ppg, 6 ast, and 3 reb. On track for the All star game. Tryna beat out Zion for rookie of the year. Haven’t explored any modes besides MyCareer at this point

3. Frostpunk: An RTS in a post ice age world set in the late 19th Century. I played this one for two days straight, stayed up until 4am the second day to beat the main campaign. A bit difficult but very satisfying to beat, might check out the other modes later

4. Two Point Hospital: It’s a hospital management sim that I downloaded with Xbox Game Pass. Put in a few hours, and decided it wasn’t my cup of tea. If you’re into management sims you might enjoy it

5. Zoo Tycoon Ultimate: got this one through game pass too. Only played for about 30 minutes and deleted it. Load screens take ages and just feels way more elaborate than the OG Zoo Tycoon experience I was looking for. Would’ve given it a chance with shorter load times but alas

6. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. REALLY enjoyed this one (also game pass). It’s a puzzley game by nature with a really emotional story and cool control mechanics. Going to buy this one outside of game pass to support the devs because it’s my favorite game I’ve played in a while

7. Pandemic: great adaptation of the board game to the Xbox (game pass). I play this with friends and family that are elsewhere by streaming the screen on twitch and then voice chatting. Feels good to have a game where you all get to play against the board instead of each other

8. 911 Operator: got this on sale from Humble Bundle for $1.50. I definitely got more than my money’s worth from it. There’s not a ton of unique content in it (that I’ve seen), but the gameplay loop is decently satisfying. I need to spike up the difficult and see how that goes
