Scorpio is a fixed water sign, ruled by MARS, and mars only. Its also where the Moon is in its depression and where Venus is in her detriment. We got a LOT going in with how scorpio acts to lets start small.

This is a water sign, which is made up of coldness and wetness. The cold temperament means the energy of this element is turned inwards and being wet means its changeable and doesn’t take form. This is water, and how all water signs act on a psychological level.

Its also about turning inwards and reflecting on the waves of emotions and sensations. Water signs are feelers. However, Cancer, because its cardinal, is the initial feeling that sparks up, its the situation being presented before your eyes.

Then mutable water, Pisces, is letting go of how you feel and moving on. Like a wave washing over you, the peak period is gone, so there a disconnect from your emotions and confronting them, because you’re naturally moving away from them.

Then theres Scorpio. This is the middle portion, a fixed sign. Its after the initial sensation of emotions and its what lingers and feels most intense— its the root of the issue of why you feel that emotion towards this situation. Theres a permenance, a definitive, and structure

associated with Fixed signs, and this Fixed water shows how you emotions can be unchanged unless you work beneath the surface and get to the root cause.

Fixed energy means its doesnt move at all, so Scorpio is stuck on that one emotion that will show up as different patterns and themes in your life until you change it.

The ruler of Scorpio is Mars, and because this is nocturnal— the dark side of Mars. It seems to be less about fire, open war, and shooting bullets out of a machine gun— this Mars (Aries) is about quantity and strength in numbers (appearances).

While Scorpio, nocturnal Mars, is more about being secretive. Its about a singular, deadly, strike (which is what a Scorpion does). They only will attack unless proved, or you give them a reason to. If you dont attack a Scorpio, you got no reason to be stung by it

This is the same with Scorpio in a personality aspect. Scorpios can seem.... “scary” or very emotional intense, but thats because you must’ve provoked them in a way that they didn’t appreciate.

Because this is where Venus is in Detriment, scorpio has a hard time being able to be harmonious with other people, because of their defensive nature and not budging emotionally. It may take them a while to move on to someone else after they broke up

Scorpio has been hurt so many times before, they have a hard time being able to trust anyone who is new in their life. This is also where the Moon is in the sign of its depression.

Because there is a deepness to Scorpio, and it is a water sign, theres an inclination to naturally want to go deeper and find and uncover what is hidden and unknown. Theres almost a detective like element to Scorpio, and this makes them great investigators.

Scorpio often deals with a lot of psychological work because its understanding the deeper layers within the mind and how the brain processed and holds onto emotion, and what physical response it elicits.

All a Scorpio really wants is to have ease of the mind, and thats why they may be in pain. Theyre working througu all of the intense, subconscious, emotional deprogramming so they can better themselves.

Cancer is emotional nourishment, impermanent. But Scorpio is emotional healing, which persist and makes you happy, promoting longevity.

Go to a Scorpio and comfort them. Make yourself vulnerable with them, because thats the only way they will see its okay to be vulnerable with you. If you both are exposed, it creates mutual trust that you wont stab each other in the back.

Make sure you guide them and aid them in however they’re feeling, because they can act VERY tough, but are true babies who just want to be loved, on the inside. Mars has a funny away of making them look scary on the outside.

Sometimes Scorpio just wants to talk and say how it feels, but doesn’t necessarily want any feedback. They just want an ear to listen to what they are going through so they dont have to hold in all of that emotional anguish.

They are very emotionally intelligent people because they have lived through a lot of pain that never killed them, but made them stronger.
