The left in Britain needs to take up the fight against eugenics seriously rather than bickering about whether Keir Starmer might one day invite them to tea. It's frankly shameful that the main debate in Britain is "sHoUlD I LeAVe?" not "how do we fight fascism and eugenics?"
To the comments saying that allowing her to have children constitutes child abuse or hard decisions have to be made: you're saying fascism is right because it's "practical"; it's obvious that people who have difficulty raising kids could just have, like, support to do it instead
This is not a pro-lifer thread, it is an anti-eugenics thread. The woman in question highlights the same point as I would: it should be *her* fucking choice.
The amount of people who don't think disabled people are humans 😵😵😵😵
Okay, so regarding this. Absolutely fair crit, as are those regarding trans people's health care I've received. To be clear, what I'm discussing in this thread is representative of a qualitative development in British politics with regard to disability. https://twitter.com/socialistmic/status/1254093549643067392?s=19
It represents another step in the roll out of a eugenics campaign under a government which explicitly holds eugenics against disabled people as an ideological principle. My outrage and reference to the practice returning refers to this as a legal demand in Britain.
Sincerely had no intent to write anything out, sorry. I've been covering some awful things week. https://twitter.com/GlumBird/status/1252985659675029504?s=19
