Happy Birthday #Bikaner. 533 years of a glorious history...

of Temples and Forts and Palaces and Cenotaphs and Grand Havelis

I was born in Bikaner, spent most summer vacations here with my cousins. I never wanted to go anywhere else, despite the heat.

So many festivals, there was always one around the corner

....and the food! Oh, the food! Where else will you find a restaurant more that 70 years old that severs only one dish from 7 AM to 9 PM and is packed every day. Try the Aloo Puri at Chotu Motu ( @BikanerRasgulla). Their mithai shop is world famous

Old favourite haunts through generations.... Everyone here has their favourite Bhujiyawala, mithaiwala, paanwala, and bhangwala!

I came back to live here for 4 fantastic years (2013-17)....

And started a revolution. It changed the food scene in the city.
