I'd like to talk about the topic of wet markets. It seems to be that the people who are the most against it are the people who have never lived in a society that relied on wet markets. People need to realize that wet markets exist primarily in places without refrigeration.
It is true that Chinese societies such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Mainland China itself have or once had wet markets. But think about why they need(ed) them. It is because of the difficulty of keeping the meat fresh without refrigeration that they are/were used.
I'd like to ask those who have hunted before, "If you had a choice between a good pack and a cheap rifle or a cheap pack and a good rifle, which would you choose?" The experienced hunter would tell you that they would rather have the good pack and the cheap rifle. Why?
