When SCB went to Singapore with the aid of the Japanese, several Tamil Hindus who had donated huge amounts of money to Bose's INA requested Bose to visit the Dhandayudhapani temple dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya

However Bose appeared there with his Muslim "comrades" and threatened that he wouldn't enter the shrine if his Muslim friends weren't allowed to enter. He did this despite being informed of the fact that Temples in Tamil Nadu prohibit Non Hindus from entering the shrine.

However Bose was adamant and the Temple authorities finally acceded to this abhorrent demand that this man had placed. Bose went into the Garbhagriha with the muslims that he had brought along with him and the priest officiating at the temple put Tilakas on their forehead

As soon as they left the temple Bose made it a point to rub the Tilaka off from his forehead. It is thus quite clear that this episode in Bose's life isn't quite different from the Hindu hating Dravidianists that we see in TN today who also indulge in such antics
