I really dislike what the Sonic series has become. It sucks that the series that brought me so much fun as a kid now only really brings me cynicism. It now just seems like a series of disappointments with no reason for me to stick with it.

The Sonic that captivated me as a kid is dead and has been dead for over a decade now, with no signs of improving. It's disheartening to say the least. Should I even consider myself a Sonic fan if the things I enjoy about the series have been gone for 10+ years?

I feel like I should just leave the Sonic series in the past and just move on to something else, but that's a lot easier said than done. The Sonic series has been such a big part of my life, I have no idea how to just leave it behind and no idea what to replace it with.

I'm not really into a lot of stuff. It's not that I don't try new things, it's just that very few things really do anything for me. I try new games often, but I just can't really get into them.

Doesn't help that Sonic art is practically all I'm good at.
