In South Korea, the country’s first known case was a 35-year-old Chinese woman who arrived at Incheon Airport from Wuhan. She tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Jan 20.

Within a week, there were three more known cases, all travelers from Wuhanand all in their 50s. Two were detected and isolated at airports, so it is very unlikely they passed the disease to anyone else.

Three additional people were confirmed to have the virus. 2 were from Wuhan, and 1 was a man who had eaten a meal at a restaurant with Patient 3. He would become Patient 6, the first known case of local transmission in South Korea. #Patient31 #Zambia #PaZed #COVID19 #coronavirus
The next day(31.01.20), patient 6's wife and son were confirmed positive. 11 days after the first case was diagnosed, there were just 10 other known cases. Local transmission had occurred only among families members or within close social circles. #Patient31 #COVID19 #coronavirus
The first case of transmission between strangers was documented in South Korea when an airline passenger tested positive after sitting near an infected person on a flight. #MyCountryPeople #Zambia #PaZed #COVID19 #coronavirus
By February 16, 2020 South Korea had 30 known cases and nearly or local transmission was among families or friends.
This thread is to warn people in #Zambia if we don't take care, opening places of worship can exponentially fuel #COVID19 / #coronavirus out of control. #Patient31
On Feb 18, Patient 31, a 61 year old woman, became the first congregants at Shincheonji church of Jesus in Daegu to test positive for #coronavirus. I was unclear where she contracted the virus. #Corvid19 #MyCountryPeople #Zambia #PaZed #Myview #mythoughts
20.02.20: Two days after after #Patient31 tested positive, 15 more people connected to the Shincheonji church were confirmed to have the virus. A month later thousands of people with connection to the church would test positive for the virus. #COVID19 #coronavirus #Zambia #PaZed
While the disease ravaged the church, more than 100 news cases had been confirmed in surrounding Daegu. Most of these additional clusters were near Shincheonji church. Other churches, elderly homes & hospitals. #Patient31 #COVID19 #coronavirus #MyCountryPeople #Zambia #PaZed
25.03.20. A little over a month later, known cases were 9,137 and the cluster at Shincheonji church accounted for 5,080 confirmed cases of #COVID19 #coronavirus in South Korea. More than half. #MyCountryPeople #Zambia #PaZed
This thread does not suggest that because places of worship have been opened up, then #Zambia will follow the path of South Korea. The same way Zambia and Italy had 3 cases in the first week but not followed the same path. The aim is to warn people how it can easily go wrong.
Please exercise maximum care, if I were every Zambian, even though places of worship are now open, we would continue with worship from home and online messages. Time will come, to go to church but that time is not now. #MyCountryPeople #Zambia #PaZed #Myview #mythoughts #COVID19
