So i’ve been staying with my sister for the week as I clean out my old room. She has a new puppy and loves on the third floor (yeah terrible idea) but we were letting her outside just outside the apartment building (Thread!)
While we were out there a postmates/door dash guy came up and knocked on the door of the apartment two floors below my sisters (so the ground floor apartment). An elderly woman answered the door. I didn’t here the exchange but my sister did. (Continued)
The conversation went like: “Hi is there any chance you have any toilet paper? Me and my husband are nearly out. He isn’t in good health and I can’t go out.”
The delivery guy was very polite but unfortunately told her no he didn’t. (Continued)
My sister gave me her key and I booked it up the stairs. I ran and grabbed a pack of my sisters toilet paper and ran back downstairs. My sister gave the woman the pack and of course was thanked before returning to her apartment. (Continued)
You may be asking why I am telling you this story. It’s an act of kindness that is currently being matched all around the world in this pandemic. My sister hasn’t said a word about it since leaving the woman’s door. Idk I just felt really proud in the moment. (End of Thread)
