kicking villager tips thread—

this is info I’ve gathered from kicking at least 10-15 villagers, your own experience may vary but I hope this helps:
THE BASICS:

• in general, time travelling 14 days-1month+ will trigger someone wanting to move out (i do 15 days)
• I TT to 1-2pm usually
• walk around town and find someone with a bubble over their head, if there isn’t anyone, try going 1 more day
CANT FIND ANYONE WITH A BUBBLE?
• if it’s raining, villagers tend to stay inside so skip another day
• if there’s a special event going on, skip to the next day
• still can’t find them? try changing the time to night time, or going another big time skip
I CAN’T GET THE ONE I WANT TO MOVE pt.1
• IMO villagers that you have a moderately good relationship with will be the ones who want to move (this is a point of debate, some say ignore completely but I dont)
• newest resident is harder to kick than the older ones IMO
I CANT GET THE ONE U WANT TO MOVE pt.2
• if you’re trying to kick a specific one out it WILL a take time and patience because it’s somewhat random / we don’t know the factors
• talk to the one with the bubble even if it’s the wrong villager and tell them not to leave
MYTHS:
• hitting villagers with a net until they’re angry has not proven successful for me (but try it if you want)
• villagers won’t move out until they ask you and you say yes (your dreamie is not in danger of leaving if you TT)
HOW DO I TRADE SOMEONE??
• the day after they ask you if they should move and you say yes, their furniture will be in moving boxes
• someone else from another island can then visit your island, go to the villagers house, and convince them to move to theirs
