alright, so a little while ago i got a new computer from my nephew. a little old, but still pretty high specs and shit. only problem is, it had a little audio glitch, it seemed. weird static coming from the left ear of my headphones when i plug them in.
i try other headphones, i still hear it. i try those headphones on other thing, i don't hear it. i plug my headphones into the back, nothing. so it must be the front headphone jack.

well it's still under warranty, so someone comes by to fix it. doesn't work.
i send it in for repairs. the repairs are delayed. after a month, i get offered a replacement unit. the replacement unit takes a second month to get here. it has the same problem.
but now? NOW i hear the static from my OLD computer too. so maybe it *was* the headphones all along? no, because i grab a different pair of headphones and still hear the static from both computers.

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE?????
for real if anyone has any idea what is going on here, i'd love to hear from you. i have no idea what this is.
one other note: when i mute the old computer, it goes away. when i mute the new computer, it’s still there.
