ok so upon investigating the New York DOH's website I found that they

1) do not list cases on a per capita basis, only totals
2) do not list deaths, just # of tests, # of cases, % of positive results, new positives today, and persons tested today https://twitter.com/380kmh/status/1253874177267961862
I have to do everything myself smdh
oh ffs their website won't even let me copy & paste the data
ok the good news is I found the fatality data and it even includes some juicy extra details like comorbidities and nursing home fatalities

...but it STILL ONLY GIVES TOTAL NUMBERS INSTEAD OF PER CAPITA
the comorbidity data is somewhat enlightening--of course I still don't know how many deaths in each age bracket these comorbidities account for, but apparently 90% of deaths in the state involve at least one comorbidity, and for people under 30...
