Hey!

Let’s have a little chat about vagina (:

a thread
This is a hot topic rn & everyone knows I’m #TeamVagina LOL.

So... consider this quick thread about the vagina as a short extension to my ‘Pussi Luv’ Guru Guide, ok?

http://mamaztheguru.com
I’m here to educate.

Not to attack or to argue.

Pressed individuals will be #bbblocked expeditiously(:

Now let’s set the scene.... pussy edition LMAO.
Hair on the vagina is fucking normal.

our genetic makeup allows most of us to develop body hair. That includes the arms, legs, armpits, vagina, & several other places.

This. Is. NORMAL.

In fact,
Did you know hair on the vagina serves a PURPOSE?

Think of vaginaI hair as... the eyelash of our lower bodies, lol.

It helps to keep the bad stuff OUT of our vulvar areas, which has direct access to the actual vagina.

(This is a screenshot from my guru guide) lol
Knowing that fact, if you PREFER (because it’s alllll about PREFERENCE!) to have a ‘bald’ vagina, you have to take care of it Bc it’s more vulnerable & has less ‘protection’.

Cool?
And if you PREFER to allow your naturally growing pubic hair to stay where it is, you have to take extra care as well because a collection of hair can trap:

- sweat
- bacteria
- odor

So basically, hair or no hair... take care of your vaginas.
Let me slip this in—

Every vagina is different.

Different labia shapes, colors, ‘thickness’, ‘sizes’... our vaginas are like thumb prints. Unique to one only.

& it’s something you should love no matter how it looks or what society tell you.
You take care of your vagina by taking care of yourself & letting it be.

Your vagina is not supposed to smell like passionfruit strawberry mist icecream sunset.

Your vagina is supposed to smell like vagina.... flesh.. between your legs.

However—
If you take CARE of yourself
i.e. probiotic foods, great water intake, mild exercise, proper hygiene methods, etc etc

Your vagina can be self-serving and odorless & tasteless.

Your vaginal health deadass reflects your overall health.

ESPECIALLY water intake—
Drinking alot of water

1. promotes the NATURAL DISCHARGE our vaginas make to, well, stay within normal range and to expel the bad stuff out with ease.

a discharging vagina is a healthy vagina.

(If your discharge has color/odor, u may need to see a Doc due to infection)
But, real quick, let me add, there are sooooo many different types of discharges... cervical, ovulation, pregnancy, pre-period, post-period, etc,

Keep an eye on what’s “normal” for your vagina.

Always keep an eye on your vaginal health.
Discharge keeps out bacteria and other icky germs that cause vaginal odor.

You WANT to keep the discharge flowing, you want to be odorless, so you want to keep up the water intake

(Along with the other things I mentioned, of course)

All in all, though, it’s about hygiene—
The VAGINA is self cleansing.
But a lot of people mistake that for not washing the vulvar area.

The vulvar area (‘lips’ & such) and surrounding private areas need to be cleansed, of course

But do NOT put soap in your vaginas!!!!!!!!!!
Matter fact, don’t put ANYTHING *inside the vagina*

Why?

soaps AND DOUCHES don’t ‘cleanse’ when inside your vagina, it actually STRIPS the vagina of its natural and healthy pH balance

(Not going in depth about pH here cuz I did in Pussi Luv)
Instead, find a *mild soap* (our vulvar areas are more sensitive than we think) & use that to wash:

-The labias (in between the lips)
-The creases between our inner thighs & vaginal area
-& inner thighs closest to our vaginal opening

NOT inside your vagina!

Rinse THOROUGHLY!
And if you’re freshly shaved or waxed, after washing your vaginal area, run cold water over it to close your newly-opened pores. 🙂

open pores=invite to bacteria
After a shower or bath or whatever, make sure you DRY DRY DRY your vagina.

Heat (from being between our legs)
&
Moisture (from not being fully dry)
=
YEAST.

- yeast infections are fairly normal, but there are some precautions u can take to avoid them. This ^^ is one of them-
Other ways to avoid yeast infections:

-avoid tight clothing as much as possible
- allow ur vagina to breathe sometimes (don’t wear underwear to bed)
-again, PROBIOTIC FOODS & habits that promote a good flow of discharge.
Sex doesn’t change the shape of a vagina lol.

A woman’s vaginal anatomy is not a reflection of her past sexual partners.

Stop stigmatizing lube, many women need/prefer it and it helps protect our vaginas from damage.
Masturbate often.

Keep that kitty happy.

Especially during a time we aren’t linking up for sex and staying home. (:
do your kegels.

drink your water.

mind your business.
Lastly, love yourselves and stand by your preferences.

Stop shaming others for their preferences concerning their OWN bodies.
