This will be a thread on the symbols and references in Oh My Girl MVs because these videos are LOADED with ongoing symbolism.

The first one I noticed was Binnie's birds. In Windy Day she lets go of her two yellow birds in the cage. In Secret Garden she is holding the cage inside a classroom. Near the end of the MV, a huge blue bird flies by the window.

The bird cage is also in SSFWL

The second symbol is rose petals. They are present in Cupid, Secret Garden, and especially SSFWL

This lyric in Coloring Book states that it's a balsam flower. They are also referenced in SSFWL.

I noticed how many of the backgrounds while the girls do their choreo is usually in an enclosed, box-like spaces besides Closer, A-ing, and Banana Allergy Monkey. In Cupid, they look like they're in a doll house (similar to Liar Liar), and are small compared to the plushie.

Not to mention they are in a literal box in Coloring Book. And the choreo for SSFWL has doll house-like windows similar to Coloring Book.

I believe this setting is a reference to the Secret Garden, which is stated in French on the lid, because obviously le jardin de secret means secret garden.

In Bungee, they aren't enclosed, but they're dancing on a basic white platform with the sky in the background, quite similar to the setting in Coloring Book.

In three different MVs, umbrellas can be seen. Mimi is holding a blue umbrella in Windy Day, Arin is holding a light blue umbrella in Secret Garden, and she also holds a yellow one in Banana Allergy Monkey.

Jiho pretends to shoot directly at the camera in both Cupid and Windy Day, but in Windy Day the finger gun becomes a real gun.

The board next to Seunghee in Secret Garden references Coloring Book with "Colors!" and references the meaning of the song Secret Garden, being that they yearn for their future.

Whales are also a common theme. A killer whale is depicted in Secret Garden and a blue whale is depicted in Bungee. This is said to represent JinE, the member that left their group because of her anorexia.

The pink whale makes an appearence in Coloring Book, which was when JinE was absent from the group, but also the pink whale was referenced in the lyrics of Liar Liar, which was when JinE was still in the group.
