richie and eddie decide to go on a picnic date by the eiffel tower in paris. it has now been their one year anniversary, richie wanted to make it special and make his boyfriend happy, so he packed eddie’s favorite snacks he knows he loves, some comics, and some wine. after eating

, eddie still felt a bit sleepy from the jet lag, so richie let eddie rest his head on his thighs. he couldn't help but notice how eddie’s curls had gotten more fluffy over the year, so he began stroking them softly for a few minutes. eddie looked very peaceful in his sleep so

then richie decided to rest eddie’s head on the blanket so he wouldn’t wake him up, that’s when he realized that it might have been the right time to do his assignment for his art class, his project was to draw one thing that you love most in the world. so with that richie

grabbed his pencils and his book and started to work. he started with his hair, started to draw how fluffly its gotten over the past few month, then down to the shape of his head, small and round soft features. his closed eyes and long eyelashes he thinks he can count. he began

to draw eddies small rounded nose that he adores when he scrunches whenever he makes a silly joke. now to his favorite part, eddie’s freckle. they are all splattered around his nose and cheeks, during this time in the summer they’ve gotten lighter you can see every single one of

them, he’ll think it’s impossible to count but he’ll die trying, “jolie” he whispered as he goes down to his lips, they’re a bit parted from him sleeping, very pink and soft, glowy from using his favorite chapstick. he finishes off the rest of the drawing, it looks too good he

thinks he’s fallen in love all over again. he takes one last look at eddie and the drawing, and smiles to himself. he quickly puts away his stretch book and glances back at eddie. he runs the back of his palm on his cheek gently and gives him a kiss on the forehead with his eyes

closed. he smiles and eats the rest of eddie’s snacks and looks around the city of love and back to eddie and he knows this is the best date ever.
