god okay i am just thinking about s5 and >:(
as we all know @hedavalkyrie made a very very very good thread on the grieving of q and how they turned him from human into hero
but i also have Opinions so
OKAY SO PERSONAL TIME
fun fact about me, in 2018 a childhood friend of mine was murdered in a shooting, it was an extremely traumatic experience (followed by another lmao) and i was (and still am) deeply affected by it
so what does this have to do with s5? well, it's about the timeline
at the beginning of s5 they clearly establish that it's been about a month since Quentin died
that is BARELY ANY TIME
bro i didn't even go to therapy for my grief until 3 months after everything happened! and my childhood friend and i hadnt been super crazy close
there is absolutely no time in the show for them to properly process the grief they should have been feeling! Eliot mourning the love of his life - thanks to hale's acting we see it shine through Alice mourning her bf, and JULIA mourning the best friend she's had since childhood!
and MARGO, kady, fen, josh, and even penny 23, they all knew and spent time with Quentin! Where is the fucking grief for the person that isn't there anymore? Where were the bits where they see something and think to send it to Q? Or go someplace he used to and just remember?
Julia mentions in Moon Brain that she's tried to call Q on the phone once or twice, but other than that? Nothing!
What happened to the love they had for Quentin?
anyway fuck sjh im done
