We'll have a brief recap of what happened during episode one at the start of episode 2 just so everyone is caught up with the cliffhangers and drama. And the technical difficulties shouldn't be an issue anymore!

About Solitary Ridge, our fictional town setting:

Solitary Ridge is a former coal mining town. With an annual mushroom festival that brings a ton of tourists.
The area around the town is valley below the Appalachian mountains, and prone to heavy winter blizzards.

The restaurant business has picked up some ever since Pete’s Pool Hall (&Gastro Pub) was feature on a season of Amazing Race in which the decorative license plates hanging around the bar were used as clues for the next pit stop.

Don Knott’s High School sits just on the outskirts of town opposite the mountains and caves.

The town/high school mascot and the team name is the Bigfeet. Green and white are the school colors.

(There is also a pig named Pigskin who attends the local football games and more, no one knows how many Pigkin’s there have actually been. He is not the actual mascot though.)

Our NPCs so far include:

Beau the golden boy athlete, currently dating Holly. He's smart, handsome, and absolutely going for that football scholarship.

Ezekiel aka Tiny Tuba/Big Z the band geek, very friendly but quiet overall. He always has an instrument with him.

Goose the airheaded stereotypical jock, in our most recent episode was sticking french fries up his nose as a joke attempt. Angry that the plural of moose is not meese.

Barb the rodeo butch, our school setting has an equestrian club and scholarship as well as a rodeo club. She's friendly, she's southern, she loves trick riding horses.

Cleetus the 4H enthusiast. Very into crops. Intelligent, straight-A honor roll student, but only wants to farm.

Heather the mean girl, does ALL the extracurriculars. She's our "rival queen" to Cassidy. As hated as she is liked by everyone.

Mac our non-binary fashionista, has dreams of NY Fashion Week fame as an eco-conscious designer. Loves slam poetry because it's kitsch and retro.

Darryl the redneck stoner, yes they exist in real life. Just kinda imagine him sounding auditorily like Boomhauer from King of the Hill honestly, but always going on about things like government conspiracies like Dale. And hunting.

Cassidy's clique:

Aimee the "reformed" bully, she's still very rough around the edges and snarky.

Andy much like Heather is in all of the clubs and extracurriculars because he likes to stay busy and social with everyone.

And Marco who is the level-headed business-minded one.

Teacher NPC's:

Miss Melvin a very sweet but nervous teacher who is bright-eyed, fresh-faced, and just assigned to this backwoods town from California. Aggressively nice, always pushing everyone to succeed. Teaches science and homeroom.

Mr. Hawke the math teacher, looks, sounds, and acts like Severus Snape but somehow meaner. Enjoys giving all his students detention, absolutely will try to catch any student in the act of anything so he can try to get them suspended. He seems to take joy in all of this.

Mr. Ed the English teacher, no one knows if Ed is honestly his first or last name. Or how old he is. He's tired of being a teacher, his kids don't call anymore, and a fun night is another night alone at the bar where he talks to absolutely no one. He also "runs" drama club.

Mr. Wallace the tall bald white nerdy computer science instructor, very friendly guy. Makes a lot of dad jokes and bad puns daily. He was a rodeo clown in his younger days of the school and also helps out with the equestrian club things.

Betty Howitzer, aka Coach Howitzer basically looks like Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Tall with dark hair and muscles. She isn't going to hear your gym class excuses at all. People of all genders have a crush on her.

Miss Crinkle teaches history classes but she's only doing this until she finishes her next big novel. She writes smutty romances under the pen name C.J. Nightingale.

Vice Principal Mrs. Schwakenhammer is very nosy, doesn't get enough information from the principal so she's always listening in and gossiping with others to try and catch up to what is going on.

And one of the few NPC's of the school with a big old question mark of a personality:

Principle Blackburne. All we really know so far is that no one has seen him this week even though it's the first week of school, and he's constantly busy.

We haven't actually met any of the parents or siblings on-stream yet so I'm not going to post any info about those NPC's for now, you'll have to tune in to episode 2 if you're curious! That catches y'all up on who's who of Solitary Ridge from session zero and some of episode 1
