This is nothing but cultural violence on the already marginalized Muslims. One key element of Islamophobia is that it decides for everybody what Muslim is and what Muslim looks like. Film industry does the same thing. Salony seems to a cheap extension of the same Islamophobia.

Muslim women already are profiled as criminals, primitive, regressive by state institutions, especially Police (refer to CHRI report, 2018), and this further endorses and strengthens that perception. It is high time she is stopped.
