It has been 105 years since the Ottomans tried to wipe us off the map. My grandfather was born just a little bit after the Genocide. He and his family were refugees to Romania – only to eventually live under the Nazis.
Then, they fled to Italy to avoid being slaughtered by the Communists. The Ottoman Empire, Nazi Germany, and the USSR - all either tried to kills us or conquer us. Fast forward several decades, and we are still here, but they no longer are.
As one of my idols, Winston Churchill, once said, “for without victory, there is no survival.” Here is to surviving and thriving.
