i’ve decided karen walker did not go back to stan. she, in fact, had a love interest throughout the entire season called olivia. walker. stanley’s sister. his daughter was named after her. hers is basically the danley plot, but actually well done.
olivia always hated karen, but only cause she’s always had a thing for her. they build on that sexual tension throughout all of season 11. karen focuses on the baseball team cause she wants to beat olivia, developing feelings in the process.
karen lets go of stan when she realizes she no longer feels anything for him upon seeing that he’s with val. that was a good ending for both those characters. that paves the way for her realizing her true feelings for olivia.
they hook up when the baseball team wins, realize their true feelings for one another during 11x17, get together for real on the series finale. keep the chopper, change the walker.
essentially, “no one humiliates karen walker without my permission and a safe word”, but make it sapphic.
ps: in my mind, olivia is played by carla gugino. she does comedy too. we’ve all seen new girl.
