First off, to my new followers:
Howdy, my name is Makiah Eustice! I& #39;m a passionate space nerd, engineer, and STEAM advocate. I& #39;m an Aggie, mil officer, and budding musician!
Most importantly, I DO cool things other than mild shitposting! (1/n)

Shortly, my 22nd year: I was a crew member in my first space analog mission at @MDRSupdates, I got scuba certified, landed a plane 7 times, saw my 1st rocket launch, presented at Women In Space Conference, founded Aggie Astronaut Corps, & learned to drive

So what could be so great about the following journey? There was the great unknown in 2019...(3/n)
GRADUATION and COMMISSIONING:
I can& #39;t believe I made it. 5 years ago, I was scared I would fail at engineering, but I had to try it. Same with joining the Corps of Cadets and ROTC, not knowing if I could ever be a & #39;great leader& #39;, but there was 1 way to find out. (4/n)

Even though I lay here, still burnt out from the experience, I& #39;m so grateful of the many friends and mentors, near and far, who helped me get through it. Would like to especially recognize the following: (5/n)
My @owensfellowship family where I could feel validated & supported as aspiring aerospace leader. My cadet classmates who dragged my corpse through some of those AERO classes. Dr. Hartl you brought me on his research team. My @sedsusa family (6/n)
I took my oath, walked the stage, and finally flipped my Aggie Ring.
2020 grads: I know it won& #39;t be the same, but we are SO PROUD OF YOU. Celebrate from the rooftops!

SEDS-MARS ACADEMY MISSION!
A week later, with 4 other students in @tamuseds Aggie Astronaut Corps program, we completed a 3.5 day mission with embedded research and simulated medical operations. I was Commander! (8/n)

CELEBRATION
I& #39;d say that I can handle mild surprises quite well.
But what my family did to celebrate my graduation left me in shock... (10/n)
