The healthcare anti-discrimination protections Trump wants to remove will harm trans ppl AND anyone who has ever had an abortion

-This is most likely going to be expanded to include any birth control b/c the goal is control & suffering

-This will prevent trans ppl from going to the Dr at all, increasing health care disparities & going back to a time where trans ppl are left to die on operating tables

Also Black ppl are already dealing with health issues and deaths due to systemic racism. Now add this extra discrimination for Black ppl who happen to be trans. This is murder to some of the most vulnerable people in the Black community

And we’re not even getting into the cis Black women who will be affected by this. Cis Black women already have high birth mortality rates. Now imagine a Dr doesn’t want to help you w/ your heart issue b/c you had an abortion 1x. And the GOP calls anything an “abortifacient”

This would trap trans ppl & cis women w/ incompetent and/or abusive med providers b/c it’s gonna be too hard/scary to switch to an unknown

There’s gonna be providers who‘d feel free to let their bigotry towards trans ppl & cis women fly b/c it’s legally deal w/ it or leave

Basically this is important. And we are in a healthcare crisis.

Don’t act like this doesn’t affect you and your own until it’s too late.

People will be turned away from ventilators for this.

This timing isn’t a coincidence.

Medical professionals this is the time to be taking continuing education (approved by the marginalized population you are trying to serve) on how to provide the most comprehensive, effective care.

Your ethical code holds more weight than this government that obv wants ppl dead

This means med professionals have to be extra careful w/ who we refer patients to. Don’t be passive w/ that process. You don’t want to be effectively abandoning them w/ incompetent or bigoted workers.

Our job isn’t to help ppl cope w/ abuse/oppression

Also how can we support other ppl who may be ignored, denied services, pushed out, etc? Will local politicians listen to you? HARASS THEM.
