Thread: Coronavirus has crippled my freelancing gigs. Because I can't leave my house, I can't have someone watch my son, which makes it hard to work consistently. I want more than anything to report more and to tell better and better stories. So, of course, my whole week (1)

was brightened when I received a microgrant from the @nytimes Freelancers Fund. I am -- as I am sure many other NYT freelancers are -- grateful for this boost. Thank you so much @kwameopam, @daveyalba, @kateconger, and Maria Alba for organizing this effort. If I am missing (2)

anyone please let me know. Thank you @FrancesRobles for letting me know about this fund. I really appreciate you. And I also want to thank all those who donated money to it. I see nearly $40,000 was raised. Wow! That is just amazing. Feeling grateful today. (3)

For now I will continue to do my best under these very difficult circumstances. I know it will get better. Can’t wait to tell more stories.
