Hence, if no one aligned with the Nazis they had to redo the elections.
In November, they redid the elections. Once again, no one had the majority.

But, in January, the industrialists met with Von Pappen and Hitler.

KDP's actions or lack thereof wouldn't have mattered. If everyone refused to ally with NSDAP, then they would have had to do a redo. Clearly, it was the Zentrum party that broke this rule.
