Okay, more people need to be listening to #naddpod right now. I think I need a thread to list the reasons why:
Listening to other people play a nerdy tabletop role-playing game, you say? Yes, yes I am. Do you like improv comedy? Do you like fantasy story-telling? This podcast is basically what would happen if those two things had an unholy lovechild and it's just delightful
It's also perfect for quarantine because it doesn't involve staring at a screen for hours on end! Save your poor eyeballs and listen to #naddpod
Now, the people. @chmurph is just at the top of his game right now. Every week he blows me away by continuing to weave together beautiful stories that serve as the backdrop for all the hilarious shenanigans the band pulls. His brilliance inspired me to try to run my own game.
Then there's @eaxford, who is quite possibly the most creative D&D player on the planet. The shit she pulls will have you rolling on the floor and clapping in admiration at the same time. Nothing quite like @chmurph reacting in real time to a Moonshine whomping.
@JakeHurwitz had never played D&D before this podcast and watching him evolve from a big strong guy who can hit stuff to a big strong guy who can hit stuff 13 times in a turn has been an absolute joy
Can't forget about @caldy, who has the best puns. I can't imagine anybody else making me care about a teenage halfling boy scout as much as him
In sum, no show/podcast/book I can remember has made me laugh as consistently as this one. Nobody will probably read this whole thread but if you do, listen to #naddpod. You still have time to catch up on 98 episodes before campaign 1 ends in two weeks...
