They got there eventually. It has taken the Telegraph almost two weeks to notice The shocking detail buried in its own story! https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/04/24/care-homes-ordered-take-patients-suspected-coronavirus-nhs-hospitals/ https://twitter.com/Heresy_Corner/status/1250305022006452226

Truly, this is a massive scandal. The price of “protecting the NHS” was a semi-deliberate policy to move possibly infected, but untested, patients from hospitals to care homes, which explains why they have become places of mortal danger to the most vulnerable in our society.
It has bemused me for days that this hasn’t attracted any real attention. Maybe that will change now.
When it became known (back in China) that covid19 was especially lethal for the elderly, every precaution should have been taken to ensure care homes remained free of the disease. Instead, and I can scarcely believe it but it seems incontestable, THE REVERSE WAS THE CASE.
Protecting ICU capacity in hospitals, itself a laudable aim, became everything. The direct consequence was that care home residents were recklessly put at risk *by a deliberate act of policy*. Thousands have died as a result.
Meanwhile, @piersmorgan thinks that “the biggest scandal of the entire crisis” is that Dominic Cummings went to a few meetings. Truly, I despair.
