I know this isn't a hot take, but as an old KH fan, it's funny how much the things people are loving and praising about FF7R are the same things that most mocked Kingdom Hearts for over the last decade. Sora walked so that Cloud could run.

The only reason some are getting defensive when FF7R is referred to as some Nomura/Kingdom Hearts Bullshit is because for the longest time that was seen as the worst thing. But if you've wallowed in that for over a decade, it only makes you stronger.

Sephiroth isn't constantly appearing because it's all part of his master plan, it's because Nomura/Nojima write their antagonists like Saturday cartoon villains where they have to constantly pop up to egg on the enemy and let the player know they are indeed there.
