In Judaism, "Jewish" girls were betrothed at 14. Most early church fathers believed Mary was married off when she was 12 years old & Joseph the carpenter was a very old man. Where it doesn't give the ages of Joseph & Mary in the bible, they are mentioned in Apocrypha texts.
