1/n Right then, seeing as we’re all still locked down, and I’ve run out of work, here’s an idea: I would imagine many of you like gardening and have got a collection of bits that you’ve found in the garden and have kept but don’t know what they are. I’m thinking about...
...doing a Twitter based pottery identification day, #potidday. You post pictures of bits of pot you’ve found in your gardens (or anywhere else), I’ll tell you what it is, or at least roughly old it is, or maybe both. Maybe @findsorguk would be interested in getting involved...
give their FLO something to record other than more boring old coins?  Also you’d have to do is post a reasonably in-focus picture with a scale of some sort, tell me roughly where you found it (town, county) and tag it #potiday...
If there’s any nice bits, I’d appreciated you recording them with @findsorguk (trust me, they’re sick of coins and brooches 😁) Who’s in? RT’s appreciated.
OK then, that seems to have got a response, so how about we do it this monday (27th)? Gives people a couple of days to dig stuff out (hoho!) and photograph it. Don't forget hashtag #potidday and where it was found (geographically). I'll be on here from c 10am. Please RT!
