I go through a lot to break certain issues down on Twitter, just to let some people understand that Governance and decision making isn't beer parlour gist.

The last time I checked, Nigeria had 32 accredited medical colleges. The list is available online with their quota.
Quota given to ensure that the schools aren't just conduits for half baked doctors. There is a minimum lecturer to student ratio in pre-clinicals and clinical study to create an effective learning environment.

Where am I heading to? Even if all our schools churn out 100 doctors
And everyone passes at the end of the day, The maximum number of doctors we can have annually is 3200.

If we manage to retain all of them in practice, we will add only 3200, it will take us 10 years to produce 30,000 doctors with this system.
To increase the supply side is not a small feat..it is not by displaying arrogance on Instagram live.

We will have to build more medical colleges, either govt or private owned. Medical colleges costs money! We will need more lecturers and professors to train medical students.
Accreditation is tough! Clinical medicine is domiciled in teaching hospitals, teaching hospitals are expensive to run. From nurses to resident doctors, consultants and professors. If we cannot build then we have to expand the capacity of existing ones.
We have to start granting scholarships and incentives for students in secondary schools to study medicine. As we are producing, we must also consider that we will need money to pay wages, so we must have a proper structure to finance healthcare.

Hospitals must be functional
At all levels - FG - State - LGA.
They must be ready to absorb doctors in the system. Decent wages to prevent leakage and migration to other countries.

This applies to all other workers in the health sector. It is the same process.

When someone says I can do this, ask how!
This process will take decades! India started in the 70s, India has 279 govt owned medical colleges and 260 private medical colleges. 30,000 medical seats.
Anybody that says, ' I will do this, I will employ doctors or nurses in 11 months,' is a circus clown 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Our entire budget including that of states cannot finance 300 medical colleges for 1 years. With 300 medical colleges we are guaranteed at least 30,000 doctors per year. The honest truth! We cannot do it now. No magician can, Obama, Putin, Netanyahu etc cannot do this in Nigeria.
Stop glorifying ignorant people. It takes more than twitter and revolution now noise.

Bring any of your presidential candidate material to debate this with me.
We have 262 schools of nursing in Nigeria, only 92 schools have full accreditation to train nurses. These schools have admission quota because healthcare training is not 'agbero work'. Check the nursing council webpage..
Only a few can take 100 students yearly.
At full capacity we can barely produce 15,000 nurses and midwives annually. South Africa with the most developed health system in SSA has less than 500,000. He cannot get nurses in Africa, our schools cannot match the number he stated in his ignorant analysis.
He cannot afford the wages of nurses in Europe or Asia. The NHS with one of the highest healthcare budget in the world is struggling to fill 44,000 vacancies for nurses. They cannot meet their target of 5,000 overseas nurses per annum. Where will sowore get his 600,000 nurses?
That he thinks he can 'employ' in 11 months. Will he establish more schools of nursing? 😀😀😀😀 when we have over 150 schools struggling with accreditation.

I have tried please.
