During this time, an Islamabad maulvi performed a nikkah ceremony for my still-husband and his mistress while forging my consent on their marriage documents, a criminal act. This was concealed from me while I continued to struggle to get my right of divorce
Finally 2.5 yrs later, I was forced to file for khula. My basic rights denied to me despite my right of divorce on my nikkah papers, despite my ex remarrying. Never got my paltry haq meher either.
