Ever since I started following politics there has been an underlying bias that goes all the way through every institution in the U.K., from schools to the police, that’s that the left are “good” and the right are “bad”.

1/
Until I really looked at the bigger picture and facts, I bought into this narrative. Why? Because it’s deep rooted and everywhere you look. Then I asked myself would anyone get into politics to make other people’s lives harder? No. Would they do it for selfish gain? Yes.

2/
Do you know where the most accusations of nepotism can be made in Parliament? Towards the Labour Party, the “evil” Tories tried to stop MPs abusing the system and hiring their wives and kids, so what did Labour do?

3/
They got their fellow MPs to hire them on a quid pro quo basis. (Look at Corbyn and McDonnell). The families that make up the Labour Party. They talk a good game about caring about others, but you can’t care if you are full of hate!

4/
There’s barely a Labour MP, member or voter that doesn’t hate the Tories and all they stand for. That hate makes them blind. Starmer said he would praise the government when they “get something right” the issue with that is obvious.

5/
To be on the left of politics means 1 fact, you are never (in your mind) wrong, whatever you say is for the best, whatever you want will help the “many”, and anyone that doesn’t accept that, is just evil. I’ve noticed this today on the free broadband issue.

6/
There are 200 ISP (internet service providers) in the U.K., there are a lot of jobs that would just disappear if that policy was implemented. This would be an unintended (but certain) consequence. Yet, what the government needs to do is what it’s done during the pandemic!

7/
Give access to the internet AND the equipment to make having access worth it, to those that are in school and don’t have it! That’s a lot cheaper, and won’t put jobs at risk. However, would the person accept a modified policy? No! It’s all or nothing, so we need to pay...

8/
...for my internet as well. (I really don’t need the government paying £30 a month or whatever I pay for internet). So, I realised. The right care and want to help, the left want to help but don’t care who they hurt helping, just more on benefits, more voters...

9/
My last point has to be this. If you give free internet, you need to give free equipment to access it, if you accept internet is a human right, than a phone is too, so the government needs to provide those, then what about clothes? Why aren’t those free? Cars? Bikes?

Life...10/
The free broadband would have been a despicable policy, but there is some good intent that can be salvaged! It’s time we redefine this though;

Left - ideologically blinded.
Right - wants to help.

My personal opinion, based on a few years on Twitter. 🤷‍♂️ Rant ends.
