I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but I've been seeing a lot of BFV is dead videos, made mostly by people with channels that are closely connected to DICE, and above all, EA.
Is it too crazy to think that this is a stunt for some future unannounced update, so the same people that claimed BFV to be "dead" can pretend to be "shocked" when said content drops? I mean, EA participated in worse marketing stunts that this.
The reason for this theory is, of course, EA being a PoS company that was never shy to pull off stuff like this, but another reason is that they never announced cut of support for a Battlefield game before. Hardline got tossed aside silently by the time BF1 hype was high.
Or, did BFV really performed that badly? EA is also famous for cutting life support on stuff that doesn't perform according to their unreasonable standards.
But I'm not sold on EA cutting support for a mainline Battlefield, even if underperformed.
Sorry for the rant. I'll be back to drawing lewds.
