do any of y’all know threads from folks on here who explain why using “California native” or “los angeles native” is annoying and erasure of Indigenous people? i’ve seen it talked about before but don’t know how to find a thread on it that communicates it very well

doesn’t have to just be california or certain city i know other Indigenous friends have communicated this about other states and what not

what is an alternative term to talk about people who were born and raised in a city? i dont like the term native to describe this but what’s another term
