#TooHotTooHandleNetflix plays like a show that was created by someone who overheard two drunken people describe #AreYouTheOne and then think, BUT I’ve got an awesome twist.
Only, #TooHotTooHandleNetflix struggles with the most basic things that makes shows like #AreYouTheOne what they are: unlimited booze.
The contestants on #TooHotTooHandleNetflix feel like they were given two drink tickets and it’s a cash bar after that. Everyone knows that shows like #AreYouTheOne would rather have everyone drown in an open bar then ever remotely keep anyone sober.
Even when it came to challenges, activities or any chance to create drama, #TooHotTooHandleNetflix pulls back. It was like an introvert who was afraid of confrontation was producing the show. That’s why when they started kicked Haley out, the show started getting more tame.
None of it made sense. The audience can almost empathize with Matthew when he just up and leaves. Nothing is clear from who will win to what they will win. #TooHotTooHandleNetflix
When you have someone walk away from an all expense paid resort vacation with a potential payday at the end, you know something is seriously wrong. #TooHotTooHandleNetflix
Adding two new contestants midway to a show that is composed of players, only to cut them for not making connections is hilarious. #TooHotTooHandleNetflix
Ultimately #TooHotTooHandleNetflix feels like a half baked idea that was underfunded & poorly produced. At the end of the shoot, they realized the steaming pile of crap they had, so they hired someone to provide snarky commentary to make you laugh at what the show is encouraging:
