every time i see someone be like "normalise age in bio" i get hives

no

don& #39;t normalise age in bio

esp if you have your real name out there anywhere
like i promise you if you aren& #39;t extremely careful you WILL have identifying information linked back to you not because of you yourself, but bc inevitably most of you will have a family member who puts your name in something somewhere and creates a profile for you
that may or may not lead ppl to context clues about you depending on what public data hoarding picks up
take it from me: i have always kept my identities separate bc i literally have no interest in linking my real life to the internet and i never have. my name is EXTREMELY common and there were still pieces of identifying info family members vomited on the internet that shit like
peoplefinder websites managed to pick up.
i literally pay for a company to remove my information from these types of websites on an ongoing basis bc there are always new websites that pop up and if it& #39;s not private, it& #39;s fair game for data collectors.
in some states, your full address (bc i really don& #39;t count censoring 2 digits to be adequately masking your address) is available to anyone who knows where to look for it. my mom didn& #39;t know where one of my uncles lived and i said i bet i could find his address for her based on
where he lives and also knowing his name and sure enough i got it for her and she was like "haha wow thanks but omg this is fucked up"
it wasn& #39;t a phone book fyi. the site contained other info like date of birth
oh yeah other things that could possibly trigger your data being collected: ppl trying to look you up online when they& #39;ve lost contact with you and they know where you went to school, college, etc, and input that information into data collector sites.

i have gone way out of my
way to be unavailable to the ppl who know me irl bc i don& #39;t want to be found by family members or ppl i have no interest in having a relationship with.
like if i don& #39;t make it easy for my family outside of my mom to contact me or have literally any info about me, the internet isn& #39;t getting shit.
the funny part is that i have literally nothing to hide since the worst i do is defend ppls rights to create nasty fiction. for me it& #39;s a matter of control and controlling who is able to know me.
i literally cannot fundamentally understand why ppl want other ppl to know who they are via twitter profile. half of the reason i look as stereotypically girly as i do us out of a fondness for the fact my personality does not match how i appear.
like at my old job i used to paint my nails pink and wear a lot of pink solely bc society pretends pink is a weak girly colour and i preferred for ppl who didn& #39;t know better to overlook me or assume im incompetent so they& #39;d bother other ppl and leave me alone.
IVE WORKED AT MY CURRENT JOB FOR MANY YEARS NOW AND MY BOSS STILL DOESNT ACTUALLY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME
in summary: i really don& #39;t like being known. i will never purposefully do anything to make it easier for anyone to know me irl or ol. irl im even worse bc in general day to day conversations contentious subjects rarely come up so most ppl irl only know me as someone very sweet.
anyway fuck giving my info out to anyone and fuck you april
