Good discussion on #49ers& #39; approach last night. Some takeaways from me (short thread):
-- Definitely understand the approach. Niners lost Buckner and Sanders and were very intentional about replacing them with guys they believe were best. For team in SB window, that& #39;s logical.

-- Some say & #39;who cares?& #39; about mid-round picks for loaded roster. The reason to care is this is a team with a TON of free agents after next season. Adding cost-effective talent in mid rounds softens the blow when some of those guys inevitably leave after the season.
-- Again, the approach makes sense. #49ers have tough wire to walk between trying to get over the hump and win it all now and extending the window as long as possible. That also puts a lot of pressure on Kinlaw and Aiyuk to perform right away. Shanahan already made that clear.
-- Bottom line, if Aiyuk and Kinlaw are what the Niners believe they& #39;re capable of being, none of this matters. No doubting the potential of both players. These are the tough decisions that come with being a legit contender. (end thread, enjoy your Fridays).
