angry thread?

i am convinced that the biggest thing preventing the church from growing, are members of the church. we constantly get in our own way. we bicker so freaking much.

here’s why

remember jamesthemormon? he helped convert TONS of people. he helped tear down the stereotype that our church was full of stale old people with no diversity.

what happened? douchey utah mormons complained and ridiculed him so much he left the brand.

because some clout seeking, attention starved losers in the valley needed to be cool, they attacked and bullied one of our bests media assets. now he’s gone.

Ask Mormon Girl (old YT channel) That Mormon Boy (old YT channel). Neither exist anymore. One doesn’t make videos, and the other deleted their channel. Why? One reason was hateful comments run amok (many from THE SAINTS)

i personally receive about 1-3 messages a day from someone thanking me for the work i did on Saints Unscripted and my own channel & that i’ve helped them either get baptized or come back into activity. not trying to brag, but this is substantial!

it shows that social media CAN BUILD ZION! you know what doesn’t? people who could care less about our membership falling or new converts dropping like flies, but stay in the corner waiting to point fault at those doing their part in building up the kingdom

you know what doesn’t help? creating five different hashtags movements of the church, like we’re a bunch of European apostates from the 14th century. #ldzion #deznat #twitterstake and all the others. like dang, we continuously make the worst social media decisions out there

you know what doesn’t help? thinking meme wars on hard to find threads from years ago are worth spiritually dying for. like we are in such a bad spot online, that we let pathological liars like cal burke & antimormons like jac foster become the voice of OUR RELIGION! HUH?

literally our online church presence is so bad, the people investigators see on twitter are either bowie knife meme accounts, extreme left wing agenda pushers, and then normal people. and on youtube? they see a handful of people preaching the gospel & mostly antimormon nonsense

when i was converting i couldn’t find close to anything positive about the church online. lets face it, the google and youtube algorithim is not on our side. this is why i sought to do something. we can not afford to destroy ourselves any longer.

if you’re not building the kingdom, don’t complain about those who do. if you care more about your own niche mormon sub movement then you care about the onlookers baptism, you need to do some internal work.
