Hello from the "Reopen Wisconsin" rally in Madison.

Lots happening here today.

La Crosse resident Russ Lachman, 69, says there's no reason to have ststewide stay-at-home order.

"You got two major areas in Wisconsin that are bad... but the rest, especially the western part of the state, northern part of the state, there's nothing."

Lachman says most people don't die from COVID-19.

"Look at the average age of death of most of these people. They're in their 70s or 80s or older. It's sad, but it's a fact."

At age 69, is he worried?

"No, because I'm healthy. I've got no preexisting conditions."

Mequon resident Alex Leykin, 52, says he's here because of government overreach.

"I think the initial response was excellent. I think the shutdown was warranted.

We now know what we're facing. It's time to let the citizens decide for themselves how and who to protect."

Mickey Bitsko flagged me down as soon as I got here.

"Thus is an illegal assembly. Evers says we're illegals. He says people everywhere are nonessential. This one, that one. He's picking winners and losers. Who does that sound like? Chairman Mao. Joseph Stalin. Lenin. Trotsky."

Former state Rep. Don Pridemore is gathering signatures for an exploratory committee to recall @GovEvers and @LGMandelaBarnes.

He says he's here to "wake Tony Evers up. Tony Evers has been in an ivory tower all his life. He's never had a real job."

Is he worried about COVID-19?

"I am not. Why should I be?"

I deleted an earlier version of this tweet because I have reason to believe he gave me a fake name.

At today's rally in Madison.

The vast majority of people at this rally were not open carrying guns. But I stumbled onto scenes like this a few times. That appears to be a guillotine they're posing next to.
