Allow me to express my thoughts on what I think is GMMTV's most disappointing production-- 'Cause You're My Boy.

If you're gonna ask me, CYMB could have been GMMTV's best drama. Why? Because it showcases a holistic and diverse amount of issues that many teens are going through on a daily basis. However, due to their poor management, the series was not able to actually go big.

Most of the episodes were poorly constructed. If you're to look at the comments, many viewers had the same thoughts. From the camera angles to the sound effects used, the production seemed like a high school project made in a rush.

Frank and Drake's chemistry is very visible from the first until the final episode, but the script was so poorly made that I can barely understand what their words are trying to convey. If it weren't for their natural chemistry, the series would have received less recognition.

What's so disappointing is how the technicalities are managed poorly. There are a lot of dead airs throughout the series, and the sound effects used didn't even match the atmosphere of the scenes. Some scenes were so annoying to watch because the background noise +

is even greater than that of the actors' voices. And during the times where they tried to use lip synching, it was executed horribly that their lips don't match the audio being played.

It saddens me, knowing that most of the viewers of 2gether the series only know FrankDrake as one of the supporting roles but really, they have so much potential to go big but GMM did them dirty. CYMB is easily a gem that GMM just brushed off like a failed science experiment.

If I may add, CYMB I think is the best bl series that embodies the struggles of a present day gay teenager. It excellently tackled the struggle of being a homosexual teen in a society that dictates a man is morally appropriated with a woman, +

The occurrences in a household managed only by a single parent, and the preservation of different family traditions that are passed on to the next generations that will continue practicing it.

It is also a wonderful story of friendship, how having a companion that will stay with you even when things get rough is truly a treasure worth keeping. Regardless of who you love and what you are, the bond will stay in tact and will never cease.

Lastly, it tackles the issue of young love, and how being attracted to someone at a young age is something unavoidable, and love felt at 15 is still love, innocent and without boundaries.

Please do watch 'Cause You're My Boy ♡ I highly recommend you to watch it as it is undeniably one of the most heart fluttering series ever made ♡ the production may seem mediocre, but the feelings are top tier~
