Before I start writing, some takeaways from a 55-minute interview today with #ACC commissioner John Swofford: (thread)
1. Budgeting handful of scenarios for fiscal 2020-21, but no immediate austerity measures at ACC office. No layoffs, wage cuts, etc.

2. Believes ACC's distributions to member schools for 2019-20 will be about 5% less than projections. That's less than $2M/school.
3. "Everything on the table" for start of college football, including delay until early 2021. But can not compromise player safety.

4. Does not rule out games with minimal/no fans.
5. Given ACC partnership with Notre Dame, condensed CFB season would almost have to include some non-conference games.

6. Six weeks the most-discussed ramp-up for CFB.

More to come in story, including best movie Swofford's seen during home quarantine.
Swofford: "There are so many [people] hurting. It really puts life in perspective and our place in it in perspective. But I do think college athletics will be an important part of … coming back together, when the time is appropriate."
