Since I’ve been hyping up the new Ryan Murphy projects so much recently, I thought it would be fun to share my personal ranking of shows. This is not up for debate, this is simply my list of what I recommend you watch if you have yet to enjoy the world of Ryan Murphy...
1. Glee
2. Scream Queens
3. Pose
4. The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story
5. The Politician
6. American Horror Story
7. Circus of Books
Glee obviously comes in at number one because it is iconic in so many ways. Followed closely by the most underrated show of our generation, Scream Queens, which is spot on my kind of comedy and absolutely hilarious.
Pose is up next, which is really saying something because I actually finally got around to watching it just this week and practically binged it in its entirety in one sitting. I cannot recommend Pose enough. Please give it a shot.
The Assassination of Gianni Versace is next because it's just so beautiful and intense and Darren Criss slays the house down. The Politician is cool because of the storyline and watching it was such a different experience than what I expected from the previews. Also Ben Platt.
Next up we have American Horror Story, which only ranks so low due to the fact that I think some seasons are far superior to others. My tops seasons are Coven and Murder House. Those by themselves could have topped the list.
And finally we have Circus of Books. This only comes in at the bottom of my list because it just came out on Netflix this week and while I think it's amazing, it just isn't the first thing I would recommend to somebody. But please watch! It's under two hours and really touching.
I am grateful, thankful, blessed to be living in this era of television, especially ever since Netflix signed Ryan Murphy to create for them for five years. We've got lots of good television coming our way folks!! Buckle up!! Thanks for coming to my TED Talk!!!
