I pulled #BoldandBeautiful episodes folders from 2011-2012.

It’s interesting to see how the cast got smaller with each episode and how the Marones slowly written out with poor Bridget.

Rewatching the origin of the triangle from hell was annoying as it was the first time.

Everything was OTT but the mental gymnastics Bell to create a so called connection between Liam and Steffy was the craziest.

One thing they kept clear is that they never allowed Liam to have a personality while the girls were more dynamic.
Steffy’s characterization got ripped apart then clumsily put together just make her pairing with Liam viable yet it still looked like a joke.

In early 2011, Still was in the work so Steffy got portrayed like a mix of Stephanie and Brooke. Workaholic, Business savvy ( and blackmails savvy), cunning and aggressive as fuck just to match Bill.

I didn’t care about all that because Batie had more pulse. #BoldandBeautiful

Then comes Liam, Steffy was no longer interested in running an empire like Bill/Stephanie, she became a party girl, then later a biker chick with no care in the world.
She dropped the glam and only wore black everyday and leather.

Then the begging started.

Oh and Liam started wearing black with her all the time.
How else are we supposed to see the connection if they don’t match color?


Hope was always in bright colors and virginal white but she couldn’t wear anything too sexy. Steffy is the sexy one.

The weirdest thing about this triangle is how the parents were consumed by it.

The OG triangle had Stephanie interfering all the time but Stephanie was unhinged and everyone could see it. Though she had a life of her own.

I don’t know why Bell didn’t trust the younger set to carry this triangle on their own.
The kids drama spilling into their parents lives worked for GondolaGate but after that?NAH!
Katie, Brooke, Tayloe, Ridge, Bill and poor Pam carried them a whole year.

Suddenly Bill became consumed with the need to pair his son with the girl he wanted to marry 3 months ago.
He was DESPERATE and it was so gross because Still was still brought up by Katie and Tridge.

One thing I didn’t noticed first time I watched is how annoying Tridge’s take.

They were relieved that Steffy married Liam because it kept her away from trouble aka Bill.

Poor Hope got her heart ripped out but as long as Steffy is placated it’s all good.

Taylor and Ridge didn’t know how to handle Steffy post-Phoebe.
She’s been on downward spiral since Rick...I mean what with her obsessing over unavailable men?.

They thought that if she settles down with Liam, all will be good.

Narrator: they were wrong.

Now back to the Logans:

Brooke/Katie/Donna were tight. That was before the betrayals and the heart attacks.

Poor Donna played a smaller role back then compared to the previous years. She went from being Eric, leading the show as an anti-heroine to nothing.

That’s how we lost Marcus and Dayzee, Rosie Forresters. Jennifer Gareis was great in all those heavy storylines they gave Donna as Eric’s wife.

The Forresters plotting against her, Pam trying to kill her every week was soapy.
