Worryingly, it’s becoming increasingly clear that BAME communities are being disproportionately affected by #COVID19. In order to be effective, our response to this crisis needs to take into account racial injustices in society and existing health inequalities. 1/4

BAME communities should also be effectively engaged in the response to coronavirus. As a sector we must try to account for the lived experiences of marginalised communities and put these at the heart of our plans. 2/4

We’re also hearing lots about the impact on people with existing health conditions, like cancer and diabetes. Important that people continue to get support in a way that takes into account their individual needs. 3/4
